We are pleased to announce the merger of KOKUYO Co., Ltd.; KOKUYO S&T Co., Ltd.; and KOKUYO Furniture Co., Ltd., with KOKUYO Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “KOKUYO”) as the surviving company effective October 1, 2015.
KOKUYO S&T Co., Ltd., and KOKUYO Furniture Co., Ltd. had been pursuing maximum value creation in their respective businesses since their establishment through a spin-off from KOKUYO Co., Ltd in 2004. In the meanwhile, with accelerating globalization, popularization of the Internet and change of demographic structure, the business challenges we face have been growing more complicated and diverse.
Through this merger, we intend to resolve the increasingly more complicated and diverse customer issues and needs and deliver maximum value to customers by leveraging the collective strength of the KOKUYO Group. We are committed to our corporate philosophy “Enrich the world through our products.”

KOKUYO’s Jakarta Live Office Opening
KOKUYO Furniture Co., Ltd., a KOKUYO Group Company, is pleased to announce the opening of Jakarta Live Office in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, on September 19, with the aim of acquiring the domestic demand of office furniture in the Indonesian market.
Following the success of the Jakarta Showroom opened August last year, the Jakarta Live Office established this time will serve as a sales base to promote sales activities targeting local and foreign based companies includes Japanese overseas subsidiaries in Indonesia, with the aim of acquiring domestic demand for office furniture within Indonesia.
The Live Office is designed based on “People + Design,” which is the brand concept of overseas at KOKUYO Furniture.
Moving forward, KOKUYO will continue to take advantage of the extensive network spread across China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and other Asian nations by making use of the products planned and produced in Asia, with the goal of facilitating the market penetration in each country.
